ANALISIS KESALAHAN BERBAHASA PADA KARANGAN NARASI SISWA KELAS IV SDN JAGRAN KARANGGENENG

Abstract

This study aims to analyze language errors in narrative compositions of fourth-grade students of SDN Jagran Karanggeneng. The focus of the analysis includes aspects of phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of document analysis of students' narrative compositions. The results of the study indicate that fourth-grade students of SDN Jagran Karanggeneng still make various types of language errors in their narrative compositions. The dominant errors were found at the syntax level, especially in the use of ineffective sentences, redundancy, and inappropriate sentence structures. In addition, errors in spelling and punctuation (morphology and phonology at the grapheme level) were also often found, such as errors in capital letters, use of commas, and inappropriate diction (semantics). These findings indicate that students' understanding of standard language rules still needs to be improved. Therefore, this study recommends the need for more intensive and varied learning strategies in teaching Indonesian, especially in narrative writing skills, in order to minimize language errors and improve the quality of students' compositions.
